We are very pleased to continue with this cycle challenge which was very successful last year.We are supporting the same charity to raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance. An enormous number of volunteers work with us and and give time to make this a special event and many sponsors too, make it possible to bring you a memorable and enjoyable day.
Devon Rotarium is a sportive charity bike ride raising funds for Devon Air Ambulance which may have great significance for you and your friends. The Ride is not chip timed nor is it a race but we are interested in your times should you wish to time yourself.
Places are non transferable and entry fees are non refundable, except in exceptional circumstances, when the organiser may review such case.
You are welcome from 0800 hrs. Stewards will direct you from the car parking area to the Registration Tents. Food, water and beverages will be available on site as will toilets.
All cyclists will need to register their arrival at Honiton Rugby Club at the Registration Desk which will be clearly signposted. Even if you booked as a group you will still need to register as an individual. Everyone will receive a route card and number.
Please note that anyone under 16 who wishes to enter must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be covered by the insurance provided by the British Cycle Federation.
The riders who wish to time themselves will set off first in groups at 0900 hrs. This is not a race but we do know that some of you like to get round as quickly as possible and will keep your own times – please let us know on your return what time you managed. The remainder will set off in groups along the old A30 towards Exeter. Any alterations to the route will be announced before set off. The latest route maps can be downloaded from the section on our web site pages.
The latest set off time will be 0945.
We pride ourselves on providing really interesting foods and drinks at the feeding stations and at the start/finish but should you have any dietary requirements please let us know on your application form.
Layzell’s are providing the back up vehicle. The contact number is on your route card. The organisers contact number is also on the route card.
Please send in any photos and videos that you may feel are of interest so that these can be downloaded onto our gallery site. On your return to Honiton Rugby Club please ensure you collect your medallion and register your return by signing back in. Details of our presentation night will be given to you on your return.
Please bring with you and carry at all times on the ride some form of ID plus the name of an emergency contact number in case of an incident.
Please report any accident you see or injured rider by contacting the 1st Aid number on your route card or contact the organiser. In addition pease take any driver details in the case of an accident. There will be a First Aider at the Start & Finish

AR Sports Therapy are available for private appointments before and after the event but will be available at the start/finish line on the day of the event to offer post event massage to all our riders to help you recover.
Post-event massage is designed to aid the athlete in recovering from the activity; flush out the waste products, re -establish range of motion and blood flow to tight muscles, and most importantly decrease muscle soreness and/or cramping and to facilitate a faster return to training after an athletic event.’
